gh-pages and master inconsistencies

i think the two branches may be slightly different. try going to settings and go to github pages. make it so it publishes the master branch, then copy the github pages branch to the master branch. github pages has the "view on github" footer and the google font link tag in the index page. there may also be other inconsistencies in the other files, but i havent looked yet.
