fatal: Failed to recurse into submodule path 'third_party/flash-attention'

I'm trying to rebuild my xformers from a Stable Diffusion WebUi upgrade but when I enter the command:

pip install -v -U git+https://github.com/facebookresearch/xformers.git@main#egg=xformers

I get a to this part:

Running command git submodule update --init --recursive -q

and everything fails. There are long string of:
`error: unable to create file <file_name&dir>: Filename too long'

So, in response I modified my Register (Windows 11) to handle long names, shut down my computer, then started it back up.
When I tried the command again, I got the same result.

The following is what came after the long list of error messages:

I'm not sure what to do about this. I'm just messing around with the program and am no means a developer, so I have not a clue on how to remedy this issue. I would be very much appreciative of any help! Thank you!

If your computer has NTFS run:
git config --system core.longpaths true
This did not solve my problem however, because the build if for AMD graphics cards and I have Nvidia.
