Team hackathon goals 2024

We have a team-wide hackathon on 16+17 of December, hopefully we can hack on a few of these items:

For website:

• Improve Galaxy URL selector for iwc.galaxyproject.org
  • (also fix Dockstore import does not work if Galaxy URL has a trailing slash #618)
• Improve header component, welcome page
• Include planemo run instructions
• Generate and include planemo job template
• Include most recent version in preview component, last update time
• Scrape dockstore categories and group workflows by category

For planemo:

• extend linting
  • license check: https://github.com/galaxyproject/iwc/pull/617/files#r1862374391
  • improve changelog linting: https://github.com/galaxyproject/iwc/pull/617/files#r1862380758
  • workflow linting that flag email post job action: https://github.com/galaxyproject/iwc/pull/617/files#r1862360462
• improve console output for workflow run
  • Print steps completed, steps left, currently running steps
    • (explore https://github.com/Textualize/rich)
• Generate README.md and CHANGELOG.md entries (Enhancements for IWC planemo#1482)
• Replace .dockstore.yml with .iwc.yml and generate artifacts from that file
  • allow marking workflows / tests as needing external server, on demand stuff like omero

For workflows:

• Fix existing linting issues (missing readme, changelog)
• Fix workflow names, workflow parameter label to match pull request guidelines (Human readable)

Galaxy

• Take Pause step out of experimental state
