Get together some ideas of mounting the Pi in a semi-weatherproof enclosure

Basically, I would like to find a way to fit my Pi Zero W, the camera, and a 30,000 mAh battery pack inside some sort of tin or box that is at least mostly weatherproof and would allow the Pi to be outside for long periods of time.

Bonus points if it can be dustproof too, so I could use the same rig in my house when I do DIY projects.

And finally, if I can find a way to make it mountable (e.g. using clamps, tripod screw, etc.), that's even better.

I bought a "tupperware" style box at Hobby Lobby ($5.99) for my pi3 trailcam, it's mostly weather proof and dust proof. The only holes I made are for pi-camera-module lens, 4 super small holes for zip ties to secure the camera module, and power ... if you use a battery pack then there would be one less hole. I mounted the rpi with standoffs screwed into a piece of wood which is hot glued into place (the wood not the rpi). I also bought a reusable "dry-pack" from amazon to keep everything dry inside.

It's been outside for over a month without any problems. Hope this helps.

Nice, and easy to reproduce! I've never thought of using a clear plastic container; that could offer some decent possibilities.

One thing I'd like to be able to do is have the container have a solid female tripod mount so I could use one of many tripod mounts that screw into a wall, tree, brick, etc.—this would allow a lot more flexible mounting and aiming, without having to position a box using gravity and/or zip ties alone :)
