The ability to switch sets of zones on the fly

Can U add ability to switch sets of zones on the fly? (possibly via d-bus or any other method.)
Why this is necessary: On devices with the ability to rotate the screen, it makes sense to use two sets of zones. One for landscape mode, the second for portrait mode. At the moment I have configured 4 layouts, but in each mode, two of them are of no use. They just get in the way.

By the way, it would be nice if the osd rotated with the screen and corresponded to the current screen proportions, for example 16*9 and 9*16, or the ability to do this with some command...
