Hi, I'm Mickael.

I'm trying to connect the Gibberwocky but doesn't work and I don't know if the problem is my Os version or my Live version:

  • Mac Os 10.14.6.
  • Live 10 10.0.2.

Let me know if some have the same problem or know have to fix the syncing to Live.
I do the previous configuration in the sidebar choosing

  • config > Clock Sync.

Thanks!

Hi Mickael,

Are you seeing the message "gibberwocky.live was not able to connect." ? Do you have a firewall that might be running and blocking communication on port 8082? - Charlie

So, to confirm:

  1. You've got the master plugin on the master track in Live
  2. Audio is enabled in Live
  3. You've started the transport
  4. You're seeing the "gibberwocky.live was not able to connect." message

Hi Charlie, today i was trying again but I don't know what's the problem.
I want to know if is possible to have a video call to share you my screen and try to fix the problem with you because today I download again the Gibberwocky and yesterday I reset the network configuration in my computer, change in different moments my browser, put on/off the firewalls but nothing works. Thanks for your time!

Hi Mickael,

I actually don't know what else to try. I have not tried gibberwocky in Catalina and am worried that it might be a problem with the OS (I'm still on Mojave). Let me ask in the forums and see if anybody has tried it under Catalina. - Charlie

Just decided to give this run and I have the same problem. Did some debugging in the Chrome console and I saw this:
WebSocket connection to 'ws://127.0.0.1:8082/' failed: Error in connection establishment: net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED . I opened up the Max patch and it looks like newobj: ws: No such object.

Installing ws in Max msp should solve the problem, but I couldn't find the package anywhere on Cycling'74 surprisingly. Is this a 3rd party external?

@micksteph If you're still looking for a solution, open the gibberwocky_master M4L plugin and open packages. Install gibberwocky package. Now you will have a websocket generated on port 8082 (if WebSocket creation was your problem in the first place).
