Version, Operating system
cherrytree 1.2.0 installed via snap
CentOS 9 Stream

Bug Description
Cherrytree cant open .ctb Database which was saved a Day ago while telling its corrupt (Even if I save a very simple file with only a few pages and only script without images, it behaves like this). After trying to open the .ctb by double click, cherrytree wont start even with using the App Menu icon. So far i could notice, that a .xml-file does not have Problems like this, but the Problems with starting cherrytree are the same.

Screenshots

I see you are using the snap package, not sure how well it runs on a CentOS.
Can you try the AppImage instead? https://www.giuspen.net/cherrytree/#downl or directly
https://www.giuspen.net/software/CherryTree-1.2.0-x86_64.AppImage all in one file, after downloading make it executable and then run it from a terminal or just double click

Thank you for this very fast respond. I did think about problems with the cache when using the snap package. While using the AppImage it always starts, sadly my database is still corrupt. I will try opening the .ctb-File with the AppImage for some time and tell u about results ;)
