I want to integrate MLMetadata as part of our data pipeline which is based on AWS pagemaker, Spark etc. Please provide me some relevant documentation as I couldn't find anything much online.

Here's some blog post / talk in I/O on how it is used in tfx.

@cyrilthank, using MLMD here, means the upstream component producing the artifact, should also populate certain property about the file format (e.g., file_format = 'pkl'), so the downstream scheduled component knows the input artifact details.
