Hi. I’ve noticed that the GCS C++ client has gRPC support in beta mode. I run a highly parallel high throughput workload using the python-storage GCS client. It would appear to me that this workload could greatly benefit from gRPC support. Is this true? Are there plans to support it in the future?

Thanks for the feature request. We don't have more information on the roadmap for gRPC support but we will keep this issue open and provide an update when one is available.
