It would be cool to have some additional methods:

  • selectItem: to select an item of the paper-dropdown-menu via the item
  • selectIndex: to select an item of the paper-dropdown-menu via the index
  • deselect: to deselect the currently selected item, that the floating label of the paper-input floats
    back into it and it looks like at the loading of the page
