When viewing the Map or Timeline tab for a place or person, the OpenHistoricalMap layer defaults to around 1 CE and doesn’t let you adjust the date. It should default to a date associated with one of the events being annotated on the map, and a time slider would be nice too.

Bessie Sparks was born on June 1, 1879, married in 1895, and died in 1974, but the map shows the world as of Monte Albán and the Roman and Parthian empires.
