  1. Open scribe in Chrome
  2. Type or copy paste a Malayalam word (മലയാളം)
  3. Now try to edit the string in middle by TYPING another character in middle of the string, for eg: I want to add ക between ല and യാ.
The new character appears along with a selection :

4. Now type one more letter, and the selected glyph gets deleted.

That selection is unwanted, is there any way to remove that selection?

Hello,

I’m able to go through the procedure without errors on Windows 10, latest Firefox & Chrome using Google Input Tools and Windows own Malayalam IME to enter malayalam letter ka (U+0D15) in the indicated place in the pasted string മലയാളം (yours contains some non-braking space characters):

chrome malayalam

Mateusz

@paperboyo : Can you try with Key Magic or any transliteration tool?

Hi, @hfactor! I'm not familiar with any of these and on holidays now for three weeks :-) The above two ways (Google Input Tools and Windows own Malayalam IME) seem to work correctly. Are you seeing errors with Key Magic? Maybe the problem is on Kay Magic's side? Maybe try standard Windows IME or Google?
