So it isn't currently possible?

I think it is possible. You can try it.
(Sorry, I'm a member of gyazo org, but not a linux desktop user, so I didn't test it yet.)

I forgot to tell you something.
By auto-opening image pages in browser just after upload, Gyazo can bind your images (and upload client) to your account in browser
If you have trouble like this, #89, you should revert the configuration.

I commented out this line:
system "#{browser_cmd} '#{openUrl}'"

Works but unsure if there's negative side effects

I'd love the option to disable this as well. Really slows down the copy/paste process by opening the window by default.

would you mind telling which directory to edit the system "#{browser_cmd} '#{openUrl}'" line out at?

sorry to keep bothering. Downloaded the file from the github's zip file, opened up the gyazo.rb file under src, and commented out the system "#{browser_cmd} '#{openUrl}'" line

still having no luck in getting the browser to pop up to disable however

Sorry for a really late reply, although, I believe I've figured it out.

1- Click the windows button and search for "Gyazo Settings" | OR: On your taskbar, open your hidden icons and right click on Gyazo and then click "Settings..."

2- Uncheck "Open tab in browser after capture"

3- Click "OK"

And you should be good to go. There are also different shortcuts to capture an image without opening a browser. You can see more details on that in the same Settings page.

I think Gyazo released this feature after you created this post. Anyhow, I hope it works for you.

Cheers

@RuthlessDrixx Thanks for your comment. This repository issue is only for Gyazo-for-Linux. Please ask us on https://gyazo.com/contact about Gyazo for Windows
