Based on the context in the section, I think the following sentence in the first paragraph

navbarPage() and navbarMenu() provide two alternative layouts that let you use more tabs with longer titles.

is better to be changed to

navlistPanel() and navbarPage() provide two alternative layouts that let you use more tabs with longer titles.
