Hi,
I consider packagina bamkit for official Debian. To do so it would be great if you would consider tagging your releases to enable us distinguishing between random commits and user distributable releases. Debian has mechanisms to detect new releases - so this tagging would be really helpful.

I would also like to put it on bioconda so I join this request, please generate relases
