When invoked - the display flickers goes back to the way it was. The preview does NOT show up.
No error is thrown in console.

My bad - I was trying this on a php file and wondering why it won't work

Often I need to first open a html file in html preview mode, only then php files also begin to work.

Same here with .asp files. Won't work unless I start with an html file first
