What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Visit a video site.
2. Play a video.
3. Data Compression Proxy turns off automatically.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expected it to work like it does on my mobile. It does not.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v1.1, Win 8.1 64bit

Please provide any additional information below.
Almost all video sites are like this. Something is wrong with this plugin. It
should never turn itself off.

I cannot reproduce it on YouTube, e.g.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fH0cEP0mvlU (using Chrome 37.0.2017.2, HTML5
Player). The proxy is always enabled. Maybe it is caused by Flash Player? Could
you please provide more details: Chrome version, video URL, type of player?

I assume Chrome 35, not 3.5. What is the URL? Does the DCP disable itself when
using the HTML5 player?

Also having this issue with video sites disabling the proxy. Example site:
Twitch.tv. Once video starts playing, the compression proxy icon is red and
turning it back on only lasts for a few seconds (2 to 5 usually) before it is
red again. Upon watching the icon while using Twitch, it actually toggles from
the disabled to enabled state - seeming to stay disable for 10 to 15 seconds
before attempting to re-enable and it stays green for that 2 to 5 seconds
before disabling again.

Chrome Version 35.0.1916.114 m (same results in version 37.0.2031.2 dev-m)
Flash Version 13,0,0,214

I have same issue with this extension: it disables itself when playing video on
http version of site(for https it works right). For example when playing this
video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPtSKimbjOU extension icon becomes red. If
switch same page to https version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPtSKimbjOU
its all right and icon is green. Im using version 1.2 on Chrome Beta
37.0.2062.58 beta-m at Windows 8.1

The DCP gets disabled for 30s when it gets a 50x response from the proxy
server. This is intentional so that a user agent can re-request the failing
asset, in this case a video. Otherwise, the asset would permanently fail to
load.
If anybody finds a way to disable the proxy just for a single request, please
tell me.
