I quite like having the buffer I'm working on centred roughly vertically, and for a file of a decent size I can usually do that, but if I'm working on a smaller file, or at the top of any file, then I cant centre anymore. An option to allow scrolloff to support scrolling off the top of the document would be very handy.

That works for the bottom of the document. Currently, when scrolloff is set to 0, you can scroll down until the entire document is off the screen, what I'm looking for is the ability to do the same from the top, ie if you start with the cursor at line 1 and at the very top of the screen, then you could scroll up (eg z<up>) until the top line of the document is at the bottom of the screen.
Mostly, I'd like some ability to position the top few lines of the document around the middle of the screen by moving the document view above it, which I think would be best done by just having a reflection of the scroll behaviour that you can do from the bottom, but if there is a better way that would also be fine.
