Logi6502

Someone wrote a .JAR file for Logisim called Logi6502, which is a 6502 processor. The author provides the source code on his Github page. How much trouble would it be to port it to Digital?

I wonder if this could this be managed with a 6502 implemented in VHDL or Verilog running on a simulator supported by Digital? Seems ambitious.

I've seen the 6502 implemented in VHDL, can't hurt to try it.

It looks like it could work. The only problem is that all of the ones I can find consist of multiple files. It would have to be a single VHDL or a single Verilog file in order to work.

A 6502 modeled in Logisim is found at https://github.com/emu-russia/breaks/tree/master/Docs/6502/6502_logisim. I have verified that it works (but I haven't done a full test). I and my students are trying to port the design into Digital, but we haven't finished yet. See the discussion at http://forum.6502.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=6903

The students have graduated, but the unit still has a few bugs I'm currently trying to fix. I'll let you know when it's fully functional.
