Ideas and plans from our kick-off event (5th July 22)

Here are some ideas I wrote down from our kick-off event. We can use this thread to discuss these ideas in more detail.

Subpages for bigger Categories

We agreed, that some categories might need subpages in the repository, because there are so many resources. Here are some categories that have been suggested:

• Blender:
  As there are a lot of addons, tools, customizations, that are not directly related to Hubs, but are useful for creating 3D Assets for Hubs, a subpage might be useful. On the other hand, we could also leave it as is, only write down Hubs related things for Blender and link to this Awesome Blender list.
• Avatars and Scenes:
  We discussed having separate subpages to show awesome scenes and avatars. Maybe we also might include a screenshot per asset. I will definetely implement this. Suggestions on how to handle screenshots or which subcategories there are for scenes and assets or other ideas are welcome! :)
  It has also been suggested to host avatars on glitch.me as a preview.
• Development:
  We also discussed maybe having a subpage for development related stuff. As of now, I'll watch how the list expands and maybe later on realize that.

Code Snippets

We discussed having code snippets either inside a separate repository in this organisation or have them embedded in this repository inside the markdown files. Right now I would like to create instructions on how to host your code snippet on Github Gists, codepin, gitbook or glitch.me and have a link to these resources in the awesome list.

Official Mozilla Hubs Repositories

In the coming weeks I'll try to create a list with all official Mozilla Hubs code repositories.

Link show-and-tell channel to this repo

There was a discussion about linking the show-and-tell channel of the Mozilla Hubs Discord community to a subpage in this repo. For this the widgetbot tool has been suggested: https://github.com/widgetbot-io/embed
I'll have a closer look at this widgetbot, but right now, I'll probably just set a link to the channel.
