While a program is logging any kind of data, scrolling back to the top of the logging pane is impossible because the logging output also forced a scroll to the most recent logged item. The scrolling intention should be tracked such that a user invoked scroll upward will turn off the autoscroll until the user scrolls back to the most recently logged item in the logging pane.
