A few things I wanted to understand

  • Understand the math underlying conmat computation - read through Nick Golding's gist
  • Think about Figure 1 (methods and data) in Prem et al. (2017)'s paper more carefully
  • Another read of Prem et al. (2017)'s paper wouldn't hurt
  • And read up on how they compared their 2020 matrices to those from 2017 in their 2021 paper

Much more advanced, for later (if at all)

  • Understand SIR modelling with conmat - vignette
  • Understand how to generate an NGM and apply vaccination rates - vignette
    • What is a Next Generation Matrix?
