I would try to update it. Installatron has probably still a user base, like me ;-) |
Does anyone with any installatron experience know what is required? The core idno/known seems to be php7.1 Links to installatron docs on this packaging format appreciated |
To be fair, I'm not entirely sure what uses this. Most people I know either install packages or use docker. Should probably be closed |
@mapkyca You mean "this" as in "Installatron"? My web hosting provider uses Installatron as part of "Direct Admin" to do "one-click" installs of applications like WordPress, Magento and such; it offers a very easy to manage admin to config and set up the MySQL db and even allows for automatic "patch" upgrades without the user help. Most shared web hosting offers do not have Docker. Some even don't have "composer", so there will be a use-case for offering "Known" through Installatron. |
But yes, this project is completely outdated. I've never packaged a project for Installatron myself. I only have experience finding the applications in the Installatron interface and going through the install process as an end-user. |
Found some documentation here: https://installatron.com/developer/apps#quickstart |
I dunno, unless it's very easy my vote would be to ditch it. It's clearly not a popular Known install mechanism since its not been updated since 2014. Neither myself of Ben have much free time at the moment, so I'm quite keen to remove technical debt where I can |
I use docker, but I'm happy to give installatron a go. It definitely seems like an Autobot |
I've since got this running on Heroku. There is indeed much work to be done |
