iOS upload image - not working

The bug

I have upable to get images to either upload from the background job or manually for a single photo. In the background case the UI suggests its uploading but they never work. In the single / manual case they also never upload. (This works via the web.)

Reproduction steps

1. In mobile app select an image that has a cloud suggesting its only local. Upload image.

• Nothing happens.

Relevant log output

I have observed to error cases in the mobile log.  (Nothing is appearing in the server log of interest from the time period.). The below errors were from build v1.120.1 build.183.  Using v1.120.2 build 184 I don't seem to get any errors in the logs.  upload just does nothing select I select the upload icon...best I can tell.

Additional information

I do have nginx infront of immich converting immich (HTTP) <-> internet (HTTPS). This seems to suggest its working properly since the web works for this case.

Please test by connecting directly to local IP, port 2283 to rule out any proxy issues. Please also ensure you have local network access enabled for immich in the iOS settings, and then restart your phone.

@davew723 Just a side question, I stumbled upon this discussion since I'm trying to find a way how to upload only few selected photos via the iOS app. You mentioned you faced issue in single/manual upload way, but can you please help me find the button to do that?
Couldn't find anything in the doc, except the backup album way (which I don't want since I only want my friend to upload few photos from their phone)

@shivanshs9 If you select the cloud w/ up arrow icon on the topic of a selected images page. That seems to act like its going to try to upload the image to the "cloud" (ie. immich server).

@mmomjian retesting direct wifi connection to docker hosts ip. So far the behavior hasn't changed. I'm going to let it sync a little while then try again just to make sure.

@mmomjian ok. You were correct. Going directly worked properly. Any wild guesses what I might need to adjust on ngnix. Since I can view the apps that seems ok. I also can confirm websockets are working properly, as originally they were and the server version in the app wouldn't show up right. Once I fixed websockets that started working. I'm trying to think what else might be unique about the upload case.
