"non system disk or disk error"

Last night I finally managed to create the USB image (via method 1) without any issue in the command prompt. It said it was created and there it was, ready to go. I flashed in onto the USB using balenaEtcher but when I booted into it on my other computer, I just get the prompt "non system disk or disk error". I tried flashing via SD instead and using Rufus, however the same thing happened again.
