"npm install" on M1 Macbook Air silicon Chip #591

ERROR: npm is known not to run on Node.js v11.0.0
You'll need to upgrade to a newer Node.js version in order to use this
version of npm. You can find the latest version at https://nodejs.org/

Notes:
I'm unable to use npm on node.js v11.0.0

The recommended version are node v11.0.0 and npm v6.4.1.
However npm is not working on node v11.0.0.
