Stencil/store : and its performance

Hello readers,
I am new to StencilJS Webcomponents and I have build one application going through the documentation. To manage the state/store of the application, I have used @stencil/store but all of my senior members are convincing me to use Redux or Redux Took Kit instead of stencil/store because of its performance doubts (Since the documentation is very simple and quick, no details how does that impact on DOM re-rendering). So, I need more clarity and if there is any full documentation on stencil/store to convince my team to go forward to use the @stencil/store instead of redux or redux took kit. Looking forward listen more from you guys.

Hi!
The store is very simple - but that’s a benefit I think.
As the store is used in a template, it registers the component.
When the store.state changes, it re-renders the component (goes through the normal jsx / diff process)

Agree with @johnjenkins above - @stencil/store is very simple. It works well but it's missing all the ecosystem that Redux has (Redux Toolkit / Redux-Saga and so on..)

It really depends on your requirements!

Hi, @edolix and @johnjenkins, Thanks for your response. @stencil/store is very simple, but how does it impacts DOM. If any value changes in state will that be impact/re-renders the whole page (as stote is shared across all the components of app) or just the component which associated with the state???
And how about the performance, will it be as good as Redux?? (what's your experience or view?)

As i said before - the store knows which components is using it via the components’ jsx template.
It on re-renders the components where it’s used.

Correct. You can build a sample App to see it in action too... this way you can easily test the behaviour.

I just posted this in #4799 but we created a library to integrate Stencil with Nano Stores (which is the recommended minimal state management for cross framework support recommended by Astro). It hasn't been battle tested in production yet, but Nano Stores is more feature complete than stencil/store, so it may be worth checking out.
