Loading Manage > Datastreams > Edit should be accessible in one click. Create a shortcut.

Solution proposed: Create a standalone feature module that creates a tab (note: committers call suggested a block or a MENU_LOCAL_ACTION as well) to any editable datastream on the object view page.
