Main menu covers the header

Meanwhile, I have many menu items. That's why my header picture is mostly covered by the main menu. A solution would be if start site would begin under main menu or if main menu would be transparent (and with smaller font). Putting main menu into a sidebar widget and leaving main menu blank isn't really a solution because hamburger menu in mobile phone or tablet view is missing.
