based on feedback from instructors

  • More complete documentation within the code is important so this can be maintained and updated in the future.
  • There may still be "averaging" issues to address noisy data. See Issue "ratios and multiple values", but we'll wait to hear how students will use this.
  • FJ should review the instructions and sources MD files.
  • make a table or spreadsheet with details about how/when data at our chosen stations were gathered. We don't want the actual data in this table, just any information that can be provided about time, date, conditions - whatever is available - for each of the stations we have included. I think that's something like 20 stations in all? This doesn't need to be displayed on the web page - just included as a csv in the data folder. Then, if we need those details they will be there. For example - it might help students understand those two adjacent data points midway down the GIPY04/05 line.

I made a first version of the student data csv. I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for, so let me know if you want more/different data. I just put the most easily accessible information to start.
