I see three ways for generating static pages:

Port Koken engine to another language (to be determined). The engine will take as an input the Koken theme and the photos/posts.
Port Koken themes to a known static site generator. For example port .lens files to Liquid for use with Jekyll.
Write an ad-hoc generator in a language to be determined. It will take as an input the Koken theme and the photos/posts.
