pws info #10
Comments
The "pws" indeed is the location-id. |
Thanks for clarifying that. |
Hi, somehow there still are some free weather stations to choose from. I just changed the pws from a station which is not there anymore to another one more or less close to it. Hopefully it will stay there for a while:-) Please have a look at Wundermap. |
Yeah, but if you have no Api Key... |
Hi,
I'm new to this so I apologise in advance if I've missed the blatantly obvious.
As free API keys are no longer available from 'Weather Underground' and we're advised to now have an 'OpenWeatherMap account' which I already had. Can someone clarify what needs to be in the 'pws' field, as the info on the Github page is confusing. The config example states "pws: 'pws:IGELDERL219', //culemborgyou you", which helped and I managed to work out the code for my own personal location.
But the 'Config Options' list states pws "Can be any WU api location info.
US Example: NY/New_York
Example: locid:NLXX8014;loctype:1
Which bears no relation to anything I can find on 'Weather Underground' or 'OpenWeatherMap'.
Can someone please point me in the right direction.
Many Thanks
