I have been using gLabels for quite a while and it worked perfectly until I upgraded to Ubuntu 23.04 earlier today. I have probably wasted half a roll of labels trying to figure this out and I am finally admitting that this issue is beyond me.
I am using a Brother QL-700 label printer.
If I write something in LibreOffice Writer and send it to the QL-700, it ends up printed on the label.
If I use a previously set up label in gLabels and send it to the QL-700, the printer does it's thing but the label comes out blank.
If I use gLabels but send the label that printed blank on the QL-700 but instead send it to a Brother laser printer, it prints just fine (although of course the location of the print is in the middle of the page at the very top of the page)
I could use a suggestion as to what to try to get the QL-700 going again.

I have the exactly the same issue with 23.04 and QL700 - my current work around is to Print To File (PDF) and open with PDF Arranger - rotate 90deg and print.
This will result in a perfectly printed label but it is a bit tedious. A proper fix would be appreciated. :-)
I have managed to print on the ql700 in Linux.
I leave you the video where I show how to do it. In the description is the link to download the glabels label for the ql700: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-c3J1jdOQno
