Search form: tab over from Street Number to Street Name when space is entered?

I've always found the separate fields for Street Number & Name very confusing (since it's so non-standard, but from what I understand it's necessary here). What if the cursor could move to Street Name field as soon as a user hit the spacebar after entering a number in the Street Number field? This way people could type their address the way they're used to (with just a space after the number) but it would break it into the separate fields required here.
