when using the advanced seach of archive.org https://archive.org/advancedsearch.php
we get the option to download metadata fitting the query in the shape of JSON, CSV or similar.
Which metadata it is, can be chosen there. E.g.
title
year
collection ....
As far as I understand, with the ia-downloader, we do not yet have the option to collect metadata in this way.
Ideally it would be possible to have metadata that can be matched to the downloaded files. So, ideally the tool should produce a file stuctured like this:
path of the downloaded file ; title ; year ; collection ; .... whatever metadata we want.
This way, other programs that want to work on the data can draw on the file and the metadata at once.
Do you see this as a feature that could be implemented @john-corcoran ? Thanks for your time. I appreciate your software. Would support the feature development too.
