Tools to connect vanilla Minecraft server with IoT devices via MQTT. This repository contains tool allowing incoming flow to the Minecraft. For outcomming flow (sending MQTT messages from Minecraft) please see the https://github.com/jsitera/MC-LOG-MQTT repository.
Feeds Minecraft server via RCON with commands created using measurements received by MQTT. The MQTT source can be an ESP with sensors. See https://github.com/jsitera/MC-MQTT-sensor
Easy to use tool for connecting your Minecraft world with anything via IoT standards. Provided script is a base for your data flows, it is a generic gateway between MQTT and Minecraft. Can be easily adapted to your projects. It works only one way, from MQTT to Minecraft.
The script runs on the Minecraft server accessing locally the RCON port. It subscribes to a particular topic on MQTT server and waits for messages. When a message is received the on_message routine genarates appropriate Minecraft command and sends it to the server console.
- The script is feeded by temperature/humidity sensor and generates commands to update a particular sign. The real world measurement is visible in the Minecraft world. We have the sensor in our real world greenhouse and the sign in the Minecraft is located on the greenhouse located there.
- Even the plants in the greenhouse can change its look based on the actual temperature (the script issues appropriate clone command).
- As a bonus a rain sensor is used. If the rain sensor detects moisture it starts raining in the Minecraft world.
- Joystick support. Let's play with object in Minecraft controlled by joystick connected to ESP.
