I am developing an experiment in which I hope to use hand grip strength as a measure of effort in a real effort task. The idea would be for the participant to exceed a specified hand grip force for a specified duration (e.g., 100 N for 5 seconds) in order to obtain a reward.
For the hardware, the Vernier Go Direct Hand Dynamometer is promising, as it comes with a robust and well-maintained JavaScript library. I don't know of any other dynamometers that offer this sort of JavaScript support.
Does anyone have any experience with integrating Vernier sensors into their jsPsych experiments? If so, I'd love to hear about your experience (first of all, is it feasible?). Many thanks!

The underlying task paradigm is the Effort Expenditure for Reward Task, and here is an implementation using grip force.
