Shorten current working directory

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
It is annoying sometime when the present working directory is too long, eg:
username/hostname/~/rv/cookbooks/mytestrepos/master

Describe the solution you'd like
An option just to display current working directory at the prompt, eg:
mytestrepos/master

It's not the same thing, but you can use path aliases to have something similar, at least for your most-used folders:
