Launch windows app

Hi,

Thanks for the great work ! I started modifying the json config to create menus on Windows 11.

However, I'm facing a very newbie problem... How do I Launch a software from Kando ? I tried :

• & filepath
• Start-Process -FilePath filepath

I tried

• " arround filepath
• Simple quotes around

And for the path I tried

• \\
• \
• /

I think I tried all the combinations, and all of that commands works in ps console. Could you explain how I can launch a software from kando on windows ?

Hi there! Usually, every command which works from the command line should work as well. So if you open cmd and paste your command in there, it should behave similarly. Alternatively, you can use the "Execute Command" field in the example actions section in Kando's sidebar to test the command.

I think the most common approach to launch applications would by via start. So for instance a simple start firefox should open a new Firefox window. Does this work for you?

It works with the start command :)

I was trying to launch software using the .exe file. "Start-Process -FilePath 'C:/Program Files/Azure Data Studio/azuredatastudio.exe'"

I will use the start command but I think I don't use the correct format for the path in the json file
