I noticed this because my root partition was running out of space, which would definitely not be possible. I looked and /var/log/syslog was around 190 GB in size.

The syslog was full of errors like this:
2024-12-17T19:30:23.217884+01:00 pc-feike plasmashell[3776]: [3776:91566:1217/193023.217872:ERROR:address_tracker_linux.cc(349)] Failed to recv from netlink socket: Permission denied (13)

The file stops growing (with around 10 MB/s) when I run sudo snap install whatsie and start again growing when installing with sudo snap remove whatsie

I don't know if this is a problem on my end, but is there an explanation for this? And what can I do to solve this issue?
