R Studio is a free GUI (Graphical User Interface) for the R language that keeps things organized on your screen. You can run R without R Studio, but it’s a bit messy.\r\n- If you are new to R and/or programming, read through [A Beginner’s Guide to R](http://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-0-387-93837-0), Ch 1.
