updating mesh and basis for updated lagrangian formulation

I would like to express my deep appreciation to the scikit-fem team!

Recently, I have been implementing an Updated Lagrangian formulation using scikit-fem. As you know, this formulation requires updating the mesh and basis according to the displacements from the previous step.

Is there an existing function within scikit-fem that can update the mesh and basis accordingly?
This is because, I am worried about that the indices of nodes, edges, elements are going to change.

In addition, I have tried to re-define mesh using,

            mesh_1_for_calculation=MeshTet(mesh_1_points_after_deformation)

but

             basis_1_for_calculation=Basis(mesh_1_for_calculation, element_1, intorder=2)

returned very small number of DOFs!

            mesh_1_for_calculation=MeshTet(mesh_1_points_after_deformation,_**mesh_1_for_calculation.t**_)
