Can you try this core/game in RetroArch? That's the first step in figuring out if it's a problem with the core or with RetroPlayer. If the former, it should be reported upstream, and if the latter then I have some work to do :)

The reason I avoided testing retroarch is that personally i find it somewhat too complex and big. I did test now, but the results are not very helpful, as I certainly made something wrong/did not configure it correctly. What I found out is that the behavior is same, but different. With retroarch (1.7.5,win64), i have audio stuttering for every single engine, tested with simon the sorcerer, Broken Sword, Monkey Island 3 and Fate of Atlantis. But it sounds more like a buffering problem, so it is probably something i have to configure correctly, while the problem described here only affects the Lucas Arts engine and there are also timing problems.
Not sure if this helps ;-)

I did some more config stuff in retroarch, still can't get it work properly, (changed to wasapi audio device for example) but again, here the audio problems behave exactly the same on all engines, so i would guess, there is something broken on the kodi implementation?
