Ferrite Core 2.1.2r1
Default configuration file changes.
Full Changelog: v2.1.1...v2.1.2r1
Ferrite Core v2.1.1
This is a revision of Ferrite Core v2.1.0 based on v2.1.1r1 and v2.1.1r2 changes.
Checkpoint for block 100,000 - All transactions before height 100,000 are automatically deemed valid with consensus of over 10,000 block confirmations.
Pruning option can now be enabled - Faster synchronisation and less data storage required from only storing the blocks from a few days back instead of the entire block history. Not suitable for hosting block explorers, mining pools or for local mining. May be more susceptible to forking and consensus attacks. Disabled by default.
Default configuration file - Creates a default configuration file containing addnodes and settings to reduce block propagation latency, allowing for reduced rate of detached blocks when mining. This also allows for faster initial synchronisation speeds.
Forwarding your external WAN port 9574 at your router allows your node to broadcast block information to miners faster, reducing the risk of another miner finding a valid block at the same block height during the block propagation process.
Forwarding port 9573 on your router can reduce propagation time by 500-2000 milliseconds, providing a 1-3% increase in mining output.
32 bit binaries will be released soon. For now the latest 32 bit release is v1.3.1 which is the same as in release v2.1.0.

Windows 32-bit / Linux and Mac OS 64-bit
This is a revision of Ferrite Core v2.0.0 based on v2.1.0r1 changes.
MWEB will be currently optional since most miners mining Ferrite are currently not fully compatible with MWEB, which is a relatively new Litecoin feature.
Before, getblocktemplate on v2.0.0 must be called with the MWEB rule
getblocktemplate '{"rules": ["mweb", "segwit"]}'
Now, pools that are not compatible with MWEB can also validate blocks without MWEB transactions using
getblocktemplate '{"rules": ["segwit"]}'
For the near future, MWEB will be activated no earlier than 2024 to allow time for mining pools to gradually update for MWEB support.
Since the current update is not supported on 32-bit builds, v1.3.1 is released for 32-bit systems incompatible with v2.1.0

Windows 32-bit / Linux and Mac OS 64-bit
This is a major update of Ferrite Core v1.3.0 based on new Bitcoin Core 23.0 and Litecoin 0.21.2 source code changes. This brings new UI features such as easily creating multiple wallets, privacy mode, as well Taproot and MWEB support.
MWEB will be currently disabled since most miners mining Ferrite are currently not fully compatible with MWEB, which is a relatively new feature.
Miners can signal for Taproot support starting block 450,000. (~2024).
When 97.5% consensus of blocks (39 in a row out of 40) are mined with Taproot support after height 450,000, Taproot policy will be enabled on the network.
Since the current update is not supported on 32-bit builds, v1.3.1 is released for 32-bit systems as an incremental update to v2.0.0 that is partially compatible with v2.0.0.
New v2.0.0 wallet + other executables installers
Note: Pool operators running pools not compatible with MWEB getblocktemplate should use v1.3.0 Non-MWEB pools will always be able to mine for block rewards and process normal transactions, without processing MWEB transactions.

Ferrite Core 2.0.0-ar1
Experimental!
Pre-release build of Ferrite Core v2.0.0 built on updated Litecoin 21 with MWEB and Taproot enabled.
New features:
Taproot and MWEB can start as early after block 200,000, if 38 or more blocks of every 40 block interval (95%) are mined with consensus bits of 2 and 4 for Taproot and MWEB respectively.
This means that the network is ready for Taproot/MWEB earlier than expected.
This feature will start no earlier than May 2023.
Taproot timeout height is block 700,000. After this date Taproot will be automatically enabled.
This will happen no earlier than Apr 2024.
MWEB timeout height is block 1,200,000. After this date MWEB will be automatically enabled.
This will happen no earlier than Mar 2025.
Full multi wallet support
Multi-signature transactions support
Privacy mode to hide recent transactions and current balance
