Hello,
I hope this message finds you well. I have been researching the software diploS/HIC developed by your team, and I am highly interested in it. Unfortunately, I encountered an issue during the Coalescent simulation step. I intend to use diploS/HIC for detecting selection in pigs, considering multiple pig breeds. However, it is challenging for me to accurately determine the demography of each pig breed. Therefore, I would like to inquire whether it would be feasible to use the relevant parameters from the supplementary file Table S1: Parameters used for simulating training and test datasets, specifically the Equilibrium (weak selection), Equilibrium (moderate selection), and Equilibrium (strong selection) settings, for data simulation. If you do not recommend this approach, could you please provide some suggestions for constructing parameters such as Mutation rate and Recombination rate?
Thank you for your assistance, and I appreciate any guidance you can provide.
