Can I use NGINX as an ingress controller instead?

I have the NGINX ingress controller installed. Is it possible to just integrate with that instead?

We do have a project out there (https://github.com/kubeshop/kusk-gen) that configures multiple Ingress solutions, including NGINX, from an OpenAPI spec.

However, that project has been currently sidelined in favor of using Envoy Proxy so that we don't fall into the trap of implement the lowest common denominator and Envoy gave us the best performance and the most flexibility.
