Francesca BIANCHI [email protected] requested:

One colleague asked whether it would be possible to implement the highlight and tagging system currently applying to TED transcripts to txt files uploaded by the teacher. That would indeed be very useful for me too, Would that be possible?

We already discussed that in the context of Pocket and bookmarks functionality.

The previous idea was to extend the highlighter tools to the description (text extracted from) of websites and documents. But no one wants to implement that (Tetiana or Eleni 😉).

I will try to summarize an idea of how we can implement that and describe it here.

This resource (and transcript) should be available for development now.

I'm getting the error: nodesInRange[i].parentNode is null on line 446, but I'm not sure why it is null, I already tried to check it with the debugger but wasn't successful. Would be nice if you could have a look at it.
