Cond ExtraBold Italic Glyphs master #30
Comments
It was interpolated/extrapolated from the ExtraBold Italic and the Bold Condensed. |
Can it be safely discarded? |
Discard that weight? Not if you want a gap in the weights… (I probably don't understand the question.) |
The new "OpenSansCondensed-ExtraBoldItalic" master is currently junk. It either needs to be discarded because the interpolation of the condensed extrabold italic instance location from other good masters is acceptable, or, it needs to be completely designed as a 'duovar' corner master so that this instance location is good. |
Sure. Should I start on this or are @pichotta / TypeNetwork on it…? |

What are the origins of the new "OpenSansCondensed-ExtraBoldItalic" master?
The spacing and letterforms are highly suspect. See the Glyphs source file "OpenSans-Italic.glyphs" from Nov 27, 2019.
