Same project from earlier post. "Failed to get IBlackmagicRawJob in populateBRAWParametersWithReset."

Not sure what the above indicates. I get it when I try to do the files individually. It allows me to see the media in preview when I scroll through the timeline, but the wrong part of the clip, AND the red window is still visible in the timeline. Also, when I drag the project to the Toolbox, "drop your final cut pro asset here", and have the clips that need to be relinked, the path name is only /. I type in the correct pathname for each, refresh and ...but the prompt to give Sandbox access never comes. I have given Sandbox access multiple times....

What version of macOS are you running? What version of Final Cut Pro? What version of BRAW Toolbox?

Are you seeing this Failed to get IBlackmagicRawJob in populateBRAWParametersWithReset error in the Workflow Extension?

It sounds to me like you're manually dragging in the BRAW Toolbox effect? You should NEVER manually apply the BRAW Toolbox effect.

Have you followed the instructions here:

https://brawtoolbox.io/installation/

...and here:

https://brawtoolbox.io/how-to-use/

Apologies for the delayed reply - I was travelling back to Australia from the Final Cut Pro Creative Summit.

  1. If the project or library was duplicated, or the timeline copied into a new project, even if the files are in the same drive, would that affect the relink?

Relinking media is explained in detail here: https://brawtoolbox.io/relinking/

  1. And if I try to export to Resolve Studio 19, will I have the same issues? I did try that route but relinking was still an issue. I'm not experienced with Davinci so plugging along in it.

DaVinci Resolve can obviously read BRAW files natively without any third party tools like BRAW Toolbox.

To get from Final Cut Pro & BRAW Toolbox to DaVinci Resolve however, you need to use this toolbox:

https://brawtoolbox.io/toolbox/#convert-project-to-resolve-friendly-fcpxml

  1. Also, even though I have carefully installed BRAW TOOLBOX according to the instructions, I still don't see the Global Settings option unless I drag it from the Effects section to a blank clip or title.

Global settings, are, by definition, Global - so it doesn't matter if you drag a BRAW Toolbox effect to a "dummy clip" - those global settings will apply EVERYWHERE in Final Cut Pro, across all BRAW Toolbox clips and libraries.

You can find the BRAW Toolbox effect applied to the dummy generator INSIDE the Synchronised Clip that BRAW Toolbox generates. If you have Create Multicam Clips selected in the BRAW Toolbox Workflow Extension, then the Synchronised Clip will live INSIDE the Multicam Clip.

This is explained here: https://brawtoolbox.io/how-to-use/

  1. After not having any luck with relinking, I did try dragging the effect to individual clips. Also didn't work. So thanks for that info; I wont do it again.

Yes, you should never need to manually apply the BRAW Toolbox effect.

  1. When I try to uninstall BRAW Toolbox and reinstall, I get a message that in "Library/Containers/com.latenitefilms/BRAWToolbox could not be sent to trash so aborting uninstall."

This is due to new security changes in macOS Sequoia. I will update the uninstall tool in the future. However, if you grant the uninstall tool Full Disk Access in System Settings, that'll also work.

I have uninstalled Final Cut and reinstalled (earlier, as a possible fix) but nothing seems to work. Now that we are edited, any suggestions on salvaging this film besides starting all over? Is it possible to remove the effect and will the clip still be there with its correct length?

If you uninstall BRAW Toolbox, that'll basically break all the security-scope bookmarks. As long as the file paths are the same however, if you grant BRAW Toolbox sandbox access to the drive containing your BRAW files, then they will display correctly.

Relinking media is explained in detail here: https://brawtoolbox.io/relinking/

I've tried this on 2 different macs, each running same OS and same version of BRAW Toolbox.

I think your issue is that you tried to uninstall BRAW Toolbox, which broke the security-scope bookmarks. Hopefully granting sandbox access will fix your issue.

Again, relinking media is explained in detail here: https://brawtoolbox.io/relinking/

Hope this helps!

Unfortunately I cannot see any of your screenshots. You'll need to upload them via the GitHub website, as opposed to replying via email.

Can you click over to the Video Tab in the Inspector? Do you accidentally have a BRAW Toolbox clip applied to it?

If not, can you double click the Multicam Clip, then double click the Synchronised Clip in the Angle Editor, then click the dummy generator in the Primary Storyline. Then in the Video Inspector for the Generator you should see the BRAW Toolbox effect. You can then manually relink to the BRAW file.
