I have seen tools where the user can straighten a picture by drawing a line along something that should be horizontal (for example the horizon or a wall) and then the program automatically calculates the angle needed to make that part straight and rotates the picture that many degress. It's very useful when editing photos, for example.

GIMP has it built into its measure-tool and others have it as a menu option, like Image - Transform - Straighten Image or something similar. If it is not too complicated to implement it would be a nice feature to have in Pixelitor.

This is a good idea, and not too difficult to implement, but I won't have the time in the foreseeable future to do it. I added the "good first issue" label, perhaps someone will contribute it.

Great to hear it is not to hard to implement. I wish I could help myself, but this is sadly not my type of programming.

As a side note I can mention that I have been using the latest dev version of Pixelitor for work almost daily now for several months and I haven't encountered a single bug. Most of that work is rather simple, but some of it also involves more advanced features such as adjustment layers, layer masks, layer groups, etc.
